George Garcia and the G.C. Garcia team would like to extend our thanks to the incredible panelists who participated in last week’s panel discussion, as well as to all our friends and associates who attended the fifth annual Nevada Economic Development Conference!

Last Friday, our George Garcia moderated and co-lead a panel of elected officials and development experts on the topics of economic vitality and land use in the state of Nevada, and how much, or how little, regulation is required for municipalities and developers to facilitate an economic growth climate.

The esteemed panelists were Mayor Debra March, mayor of Henderson, Nev.; Mayor John J. Lee, mayor of North Las Vegas, Nev.; and John Ramous, senior vice president and regional manager at Harsch Investment Properties.

Numerous matters concerning economic vitality, land use and regulation were discussed during the panel. Mayor March, Mayor Lee and John Ramous came prepared with their own experience and thoughts pertaining to appropriate levels of regulation for incoming developers; the role city leadership plays in building a conducive business environment for their cities; and the different approaches taken from the panel members in their respective roles in the government, business and development arenas.

This year’s Nevada Economic Development Conference comprised experts from across Nevada and the United States, representing thought-leadership in Agribusiness, Infrastructure and Transportation, economic development, and workforce development.

For those who were not able to attend the panel, we look forward to seeing you at our next event. Stayed tuned for our upcoming event details.
