Melanie Bishop joined GC Garcia, Inc. in August, 2013. She is the friendly voice you’ll hear when you call our office, and the one you’ll talk to with any billing or payment questions. She worked for CCSD for 11 years and 12 years with Robert Davis Homes/D & O Partners.

Melanie moved to Nevada when she was 5 and her father took a teaching position at Moapa Valley High School. She grew up in Overton; a part of Moapa Valley/Clark Co which sits an hour North East of Vegas and which over the last several years has become a bedroom community for Las Vegas. She remembers a time when there was not much East of Lamb, South of Tropicana, West of Decatur, or North of Cheyenne; Henderson & Las Vegas were actually two separate cities; and Nellis AFB & McCarren Airport sat off all by themselves with nothing surrounding them but the street that lead to their property.

She has been a resident of Clark County off and on for 53 years and a resident of Las Vegas for the last 13 of those years. The changes she has seen during that time are phenomenal. She has a personal interest in making Clark County one of the best places in the world to work, and to live, as 4 of her 6 children reside & work in Clark County and 19 of her 31 grandchildren have or will attend Clark Co Schools. She also has 2 great granddaughters so her spare time is spent chasing her grandchildren’s sporting & school events; and planning her next trip to visit the grandkids that live out of state.

She finds it very exciting to work at GC Garcia Inc. where she can see firsthand and be part of a company that contributes to the improvement, growth, & development of the Cities she loves so much as they were such a big part of her youth & her life.
