George has nearly 26 years of local government planning experience, with nearly five years served as Planning Director for the City of Henderson, Nevada. Prior to locating in the Valley he served as the Assistant Planning Director in Overland Park, KS for nine years. George obtained his degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle and has four years of post-graduate work: two in the Masters of Urban Planning at the U. of I. and two at John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
He is actively involved in the community as a member of the Urban Land Institute, National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, The Congress of New Urbanism and the American Planning Association. He is a Trustee for the Henderson Development Association, and active in various Chambers. Additionally, he is a past Chairman of the North Las Vegas Chamber.
